Bigfoot Reported to Malaysian Police

The photo and Police report from Malaysian Bigfoot encounter

“It’s something that is weird. In my 30 years of staying here I have never found such a thing.” --Maylaysian Bigfoot witness

Bigfoot in Malyasia is a hot topic today. We already had another Malaysian paper defend Bigfoot from being a myth. Another paper, the Rakyat Post, actually reports on an actuall encounter filed my the police. Read the article below.

A police report was lodged this morning upon the discovery of a 23-inch long footprint in Kampung Seri

It seems that residents at Kampung Seri Aman Dalam, Puchong, might be worried about a close encounter of the giant kind after a resident found four huge footprints that measured 23 inches long.

This is yet another incident that was brought to light after a police report made by the resident began circulating online.

The report, made by 68-year-old Kamaruddin Isamail, mentioned the discovery of the giant-sized footprints near a field at Lot 123, Lorong 4, Kampung Seri Aman Dalam in Puchong at 9.55am this morning.

He stated in his report that he saw three footprints in the shape of a human foot, which measured up to 23 inches long, that “seemed rather weird” to him.

When The Rakyat Post contacted Kamaruddin, he confirmed making the report and said there were actually four footprints, but only three of them were clearly seen.

“It’s something that is weird. In my 30 years of staying here I have never found such a thing.”

He said upon making the report, which he did because it was an unnatural occurrence, he was visited by a police sergeant after which he called officers from the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan).

“Perhilitan came to see me. Even they said they had never seen such a thing and couldn’t determine what kind of print it was.

“It’s weird and it is something very worrying,” added Kamaruddin.

When asked what he thought it could be, he said he had heard of stories about giants and genies, but he did not know them to be true.

When contacted this evening on the issue, Serdang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Razimi Ahmad told The Rakyat Post that he wasn’t aware of the incident at the time.

However, a quick call to the Bukit Puchong police station where the report was made, confirmed that the report was genuine and was lodged by Kamaruddin this morning.

Meanwhile, Kamaruddin said he was to meet the village committee tonight on the incident to find out if such a footprint was real and perhaps shed light on what it could be.

Malaysian Paper: Don't Dismiss Bigfoot as a Myth

Everybody knows Unicorns are myths. Bigfoots? That is another story altogether

"...there may be a species of Bigfoot in Johor that existed many years ago." --New Straits Times

The New Straits Times, a Malaysian paper,  makes several arguments of many ideas that were once thought as myths have turned out to be real.

Read the excerpt below that jumps into the middle of ther article where the arguments begin:

For example, take the ancient city of Dwaraka in India. Although it was recorded in Hindu scriptures that Sri Krishna ruled over Dwaraka and it was later swallowed by the sea, it was dismissed as myth. Since the discovery of an ancient city under the sea by archaeologists at the place where the scriptures stated Dwaraka to be, it transformed myth into history.

Similarly, there may be a species of Bigfoot in Johor that existed many years ago. During the 1960s, I had the opportunity to discuss this subject with a Tibetan Buddhist monk.

According to him, Bigfoot or Yeti, did exist in the Himalayan area. Tibetans monks have frequently seen the Yeti. He had said the Yeti looked like an ape but their skulls appeared humans, and they walked like humans. They possessed large and strong teeth. Their feet and hands were large, while their arms were much longer than normal humans.

As Tibetan monks respected nature, the monk told me the Yeti had attempted to communicate with them by making noises that were similar to cats.

He also said the Yeti was not an animal. It seemed human and perhaps evolved separately from us.

However, a danger does exist if frequent footprints of the Bigfoot are found around human habitation.

It may either mean the Bigfoot is short of food or it is intending to mate. There have been reports of the Yeti abducting women in Tibet.

Today in Bigfoot History | JAN 25, 2006 | Malaysian Government Pays for Bigfoot Research

"One team will explore the forest areas while the other to study the existence of the creature..." --Abdul Ghani Othman, Chief Minister of Johor Malaysia

Here's a quick social studies course on Malaysia. Malaysia has 13 states, and each state is has a chief executive, but some leaders are hereditary (monarchy) rulers with the title Menteri Besar, while others are appointed by the political party, these are known as Ketua Menteri. The reason why I mention this is in the article the person who is quoted the most is Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman. Menteri Besar is his title, and Abdul Ghani Othman is his most honorable name.

Originally published in January 25, 2006, I have been trying to follow up on any updates regarding the two expeditions. I have written to the honorable Abdul Ghani Othman and the editors at Bernama.com without even a comment or reply back. For now all we have is the article which is reprinted below:

January 25, 2006 21:05 PM Teams To Track Bigfoot

JOHOR BAHARU, Jan 25 (Bernama) -- The state government will set up two expedition teams to track "bigfoot", the hairy creature allegedly seen in the forests of Johor.

Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said the teams would be led by experts who would conduct a study on various aspects of the creature as well as to explore the state forest.

He said the expedition to track the creature would be carried out in stages with the cooperation of the Johor National Park Corporation (JNPC).

"One team will explore the forest areas while the other to study the existence of the creature," he told reporters after chairing the weekly state exco meeting at the Sultan Ibrahim building, here Wednesday.

Abdul Ghani said the vast forest area of the state, including the Endau-Rompin National Park and at Kota Tinggi, should be explored to obtain scientific evidence on the existence of the creature.

"We have obtained description of the creature from those who claimed to have seen it ... we hope the expedition will be able to prove its existence," he added.

There have been claims of the creature been seen in the forests of Tanjung Piai, Mersing, Kahang, Endau-Rompin National Park and Kota Tinggi.

Three workers at a fish pond in Kampung Mawai, Kota Tinggi claimed to have seen a "bigfoot" family last November.

Malaysians Panic Over 200 Bigfoot Prints

No recent photos of recent Malaysian track find. This Pic is from Cryptomundo circa 2007.
“Based on the footprints, we can assume that the creature has two legs and weighs more than 100kg (approx. 220 lbs)” --Adnan Pungut, Local Malaysian

A recent sighting of 200 foot prints is causing a stir in Malaysia. The Malaysian Bigfoot is known as the Orang Lenggor or Lenggor Man. In 2006, Tay Teng Hwa, the Johor Wildlife Protection Society secretary, described the creatures as, "between 10 and 12 feet tall while their children were six to seven footers. Seventy per cent of the Orang Lenggor have a human appearance but the rest resemble apes."

In a local Malaysian paper, The Star Online, an article describes a man discovering a series of footprints and disturbing villagers. Read the article below.

ABOUT 200 Bigfoot-like footprints have been discovered near Kampung Kepis Baru, Kuala Pilah, causing panic among villagers, reported Harian Metro.

Adnan Pungut, 48, claimed he discovered the footprints when he was clearing rubbish and wood at his rubber estate at 3pm on Saturday.

“I immediately informed the others because I was scared. I told the other villagers and all of us went back to the area.

“We found 200 footprints that were about the same size and tried to follow them,” he was quoted as saying.

“Based on the footprints, we can assume that the creature has two legs and weighs more than 100kg,” he said.

According to Adnan, further checks by villagers found that the creature could be headed towards a nearby forest.

The report stated that the villagers decided not to pursue the creature as they were afraid.

“We will let the authorities handle it as the animal could be endangered,” Adnan said.
