Autumn Williams is a Bigfooter. She has a Website, a Blog and a YouTube Channel. She has been researching Bigfoot all her life, ever since an encounter at the age of two-and-a-half. An encounter shared with her mother.
On her sight www.oregonbigfoot.com she has one of the best (and oldest) sightings database on the web. She collects sightings from several sources; BFRO, International Bigfoot Society, various publications and even reports submitted directly to her through her website. She even includes hyper-links to the source websites when possible.
She has recently been posting some real gems on her blog (http://www.oregonbigfoot.com/blog/). Her writing is light and casual and filled with detail and insight you could only gain from a veteran with seasoned experience.
She was recently interviewed on Night Callers web radio. Its the best dose of Autumn Willams a person can get, she divulges several pearls of Bigfoot wisdom.

Finally everybody here at Bigfoot Lunch Club are big fans of Autumn, we appreciate her novel approach to Bigfoot Research. We love her main philosophy; try to gain a rapport, a relationship with the Sasquatch. An interaction with Bigfoot must on the creatures' own terms. genius.

I read some of William's 'Stuff', did a little Backgrounding", and was frankly, unimpressed. I'll stop before reducing her to a self-serving, self-promoting, quasi-researcher, but I cannot stop before relating what happened to me when I offered her a bit of constructive criticism (that she honestly needs but will never hear). I was very kind and had no intentions of being rude or offensive, for I still respected her as a researcher/experiencer and only meant to help. Well, she immediately banned me from her site and was clearly outraged (I call it the "Sybil Sheppard Syndrome") that I dared to offer her, the goddess of Sasquatchery, advice on anything.
ReplyDeleteClearly, after her Sybil Sheppard like tantrum, my opinion of her is no longer that of a selfless researcher whose primary concern is for subject and not self. Autumn Williams is a self-serving ego maniac in the same mold of Matt Moneymaker. She is great at managing the impressions of others and is clearly not use to hearing anything but praise - I imagine that this is a quality that she has learned to manipulate since the time she was an adorable young blonde child.
Your opinion means nothing if you're anonymous. It's the coward's way out.

DeleteMatt or Autumn is neither like what you are saying. Ok, so you tried giving your uninvited advice and she disagreed, that doesn't make her a bad person. She probably just got a little offended. You seem like you're interested in the bigfoot research, then maybe you can make you own site about it and then allow anybody and only anybody that you would prefer into it. I'm sorry that you were banned from the site, but all in all I really don't see anything wrong with autumn.

ReplyDeleteAutumn is one of the few researchers out there that tell it how it is and won't bow down to the mainstream way of thinking,she's been there and done it!Her book Enoch is an absolute gem,more than worth the read,she's in my opinion one of the most genuine and straight talking researchers out there,she does it her own way and if she treads on a few toes it's for a good reason! To put her and Matt Moneymaker in the same sentence is a joke,now that guy is a real clown! Well done to her for everything she's done and been involved in.If you are one of the lucky people to have encountered one of these majestic beings then she'd be the one i'd go to,not all these fake,wanna be so called researchers,a true lady of honour and respectful to everyone,unless they have some sort of hidden agender or just plain in it for the money!!

ReplyDeleteThe fella in the Enoch book was in a bad accident and nearly killed. It was on the local news in Fort Myers Florida awhile back. And it left him really messed up, some kind of brain injury I'm told. Don't know if Ms Williams is in contact with him, I hear they had a falling out of some kind. I would like to hear more about Enoch and mike but it sounds like that won't be happening.

"star quality", I find her to be real, down to earth, and
very sincere. I realllly hate to see her hang it up but I
wish her absolutely the best in health and happiness.
Maybe we'll be lucky enough to see her back searching for
truth of bigfoot again. I, for one, are more than ready
to see that happen. And, I certainly respect her for following her heart and her beliefs. Very few of us have
the courage to do that anymore.

ReplyDeleteAutumn, I hope you are doing well. I have always admired you for your astute observations and wisdom. You are beautiful enough to be a movie star, but aren't afraid to get dirty and uncomfortable being in the forest doing sasquatch research. You have always been nice to me, even when a jealous wife of a sasquatch investigator slandered me at the beginning of my own sasquatch research.She made untrue accusations, signed her husband's name to it and sent the letter to BFRO. I was so new that the field researchers and other curators didn't know whether to believe it or not. I could tell it damaged my reputation. I let it slide rather than keeping it stirred up, figuring that in the long run, I would prove myself.

Lo and behold, the Dude in the Book came out and said that it was all made up. Nothing in the book regarding his Squatch Research was Real. It was Fantasy. Hey Autumn, did you know? Of course you knew, BUT you decided to still Publish the Book. Even if you didn't why haven't you commented on it, eh Autumn??? So Autumn, what the Gig??? Are You Guilty of Lying Miss Autumn? Did you purposely try and pull a fast one on the Sasquatch Community? If so, that makes you a HOAXER! By the way Miss Williams, your part of the Squatch Mainstream and you're Not Above being Critiqued!
