This 28-second video has been uploaded to Youtube over a half a dozen times. None of the channels that have the video available for seem to be from an individual. It seems to only be distributed by other media outlets. Most of the videos have been uploaded with the same description:

It’s claimed that this footage could show the mysterious creature known as Bigfoot - despite it being taken in Asia.
Sightings of the beast usually come from North America, but this lasted video was shot in Indonesia.
The ‘Sasquatch’ can be seen roaming through the countryside against a back drop of exotic mountains.

The version of the video takes the 28-second clip and runs through it several times at different speeds.

DOES INDONESIA HAVE BIGFOOT?

The description attached to the video stresses that Bigfoot is mostly a North American phenomenon. This is true, but mysterious hairy bipeds are not uncommon to Indonesia. Indonesia has had many sightings of shorter hairy bipeds known as Orang Pendek. Cliff Barackman has worked with Adam Davies to study these alternate bipeds for several years. Recognized and respected by most as a middle school science teacher, Thom Powell has continued to lead the Bigfoot community into the fringe, pushing the envelope and shaping how we think about Bigfoot research.

College Instructor: Evidence of Bigfoot Chewing on Deer

New Evidence that Bigfoot are chewing on Deer.

In an article titled, "College Instructor presents conclusive scientific proof of Bigfoot at research conference" The Suburban Times reports that a college instructor, Mitchel N. Townsend, believes he has conclusive scientific proof of bigfoot has been chewing on deer bones, or more specifically there is evidence of mastication on ungulates by an unclassified Hominin.

Dr. Jeff Meldrum, is quick to to point out that the term "conclusive" is not entirely accurate as he shared the link to the article today on his Facebook Page.

The article reports how deer bones offer clues to how a bigfoot may have been bone-chewing on the deer population near Mount St. Helens.

Townsend and one of his former students found and analyzed three different prey bone assemblages around Mount St. Helens.  He says that the tooth marks imprinted upon the bones were made by an 8’8” tall Hominin that left 16” foot prints and other forensic and behavioral information that Townsend was able to situate in current scientific research.

He goes further and offers his evidence to any scientist who wants to re-examine his conclusions.  He states “The evidence is clear, verifiable, and repeatable.  We have solved this mystery with years of hard work and the latest forensic science techniques.”

ABSTRACT

We present a Forensic Biotic Taphonomy Dentition Signature field study of prey bone assemblage modifications from three different geographically separated deposition sites located in the immediate vicinity of Mount St. Helen’s, in Washington State.  The bones assemblages are characterized as ungulate post mortem remains.  Experimental hominin chewing studies have demonstrated close parallels with similar mastication evidence recovered from several Pleistocene and Holocene archeological bone assemblages.  Recognition and understanding of Rib/Bone Peeling as a diagnostic signature of hominin mastication behavior aids greatly in the identification and classification of both pre-archeological and contemporary post mortem bone assemblages.  We present diagnostic evidence that supports manual and oral peeling of cortical layers of ungulate ribs as taphonomically diagnostic hominin mastication behavior.  The repetitive presence of these recognized diagnostic characteristics across multiple sites and evolutionary time frames enables hominin assignment with increasingly higher degrees of reliability.

Thom Powell: Where Finding Bigfoot Meets X-Files

Tonight's episode of Finding Bigfoot will feature one of the most unique investigators of Bigfoot History; Thom Powell. We have reported that Thom has been ahead of the curve when it comes to the paranormal side of Bigfoot research. He is also one of the few investigators that ties the Sasquatch phenomena to the UFO mystery. In fact, his latest post, "My Life is an X-Files Episode" discusses how his latest book Edges of Science fits Bigfoot into the X-files genre.

 At one point I was writing a chapter about the paranormal mysteries inherent in the enigmatic Anasazi culture.  I took a break from my writing and turned on the TV. I flipped to an X-files rerun.  To my amazement, Agent Mulder was journeying to the Anasazi ruins of New Mexico in hopes of verifying his suspicion that the extraterrestrials were hiding out right here on earth.  I shot off the TV. "Oh great," I thought. "Now Chris Carter has hacked into my hard drive."

I guess I don't care, anymore.  I finally finished writing Edges of Science.  It reads like a full season of X-files episodes.  My view agrees perfectly with that of Agent Fox Mulder.  The ETs are dug in to enclaves that are scattered throughout the earth.  David Duchovny's character, Fox Mulder is right. Gillian Anderson's character, Agent Scully, the sexy skeptic, is wrong. Sexy, but wrong.

Tooth Study Reveals fate of Bigfoot Ancestor

The short version: Due to an Ice Age and finicky food preferences the Gigantopithicus died out around what is modern-day Thailand. The idea supports a theory of how Sasquatch might have avoided the same fate.

For most scientists they believe this was the end of the line for the Gigantopithicus. However, there are relatives of the giant ape that lived on, Orangutans are one example. Scientists who were able to shed light on the fate of Gigantopithicus a/k/a the Asian King Kong, described how Orangs were able to escape the same fate.

Dr. Hervé Bocherens concludes, "Relatives of the giant ape, such as the recent orangutan, have been able to survive despite their specialization on a certain habitat. However, orangutans have a slow metabolism and are able to survive on limited food. Due to its size, Gigantopithecus presumably depended on a large amount of food. When during the Pleistocene era more and more forested areas turned into savanna landscapes, there was simply an insufficient food supply for the giant ape."

Another potential modern day relative of Gigantopithicus familiar to bigfooters is the Sasquatch.

In Big Footprints: A Scientific Inquiry into the Reality of Sasquatch, Grover Krantz suggested that around 2,000 Gigantopithecus relatives escaped extinction and migrated from Asia over the Bering straits.

It is well documented that the giant ape Gigantopithecus was huge – but beyond this fact, there are many uncertainties regarding the extinct ancestor of the orangutan. Size indications vary from 1.8 to 3 meters, and weight estimates between 200 and 500 kilograms. And there are various theories regarding its diet as well: Some scientists assume a strictly vegetarian lifestyle, while others consider the ape a meat eater, and a few believe that its diet was exclusively limited to bamboo. "Unfortunately, there are very few fossil finds of Gigantopithecus – only a few large teeth and bones from the lower mandible are known," explains Prof. Dr. Hervé Bocherens of the Senckenberg Center for Human Evolution and Palaeoenvironment (HEP) at the University of Tübingen, and he continues, "But now, we were able to shed a little light on the obscure history of this primate."

Together with his colleagues from the Senckenberg Research Institute, Prof. Dr. Friedmann Schrenk and PD Dr. Ottmar Kullmer, as well as other international scientists, the biogeologist from Tübingen examined the fossil giant ape's tooth enamel in order to make inferences on its diet and to define potential factors for its extinction. "Our results indicate that the large primates only lived in the forest and obtained their food from this habitat," explains Bocherens, and he adds, "Gigantopithecus was an exclusive vegetarian, but it did not specialize on bamboo."
