Adam Davies, a well-known cryptozoologist will be prominently featured in this next season on Finding Bigfoot during the Sumatra episode. He is best known for his research on the Sumatran version of Bigfoot a/k/a Orang Pendek or little foot.
According to the public relations agency for Angel's Lighthouse Radio, Lori Simmons and Adam Davies will "Break Big News on Bigfoot" this Thursday (full press release at end of this post)

"Chilling" I wouldn't classify a a sleepy cohort nodding off at a picnic table; as chilling. And it's a mystery to me; how this image of a person sitting at a picnic table; is now being touted as a Bigfoot. This is a joke right?

ReplyDeleteYou are right, thank you for your comment, technically there should be the words, "possible" or "alleged" or even "unconfirmed". Because Bigfoot is still unproven we assume everybody knows that any evidence is only "possible" or "alleged" or even "unconfirmed,"
DeleteIn all seriousness, I would like to see more frequent use of those qualifiers--it is abundantly clear that a great many people do not share that assumption, and get quite angry when the lack of solid proof is pointed out to them. I cannot, however, see any point in inserting such language into somebody else's press release. The failtastic nature of this announcement speaks for itself, in any case.
DeleteIt seems a very real and authentic creature. I don't know if it's a "bigfoot" for I've never had an encounter, yet I've been in love with apes all of my life and particulary chimpanzees having visited them at zoos through the years. My feeling is that's what was captured in the footage/trail cam. We are seeing the backside of a large ape/chimpanzee. What the heck is a chimp and large one, doing in our forests? It's not the first time though. They are our nearest known relative and quite possible could have adapted after earlier generations had escaped a circus etc....hmmmm

DeleteWhat about the before and after shots if there is something moving around that area you would have seen it as it came in or as it left from the camp this is highly suspicious to me and along the lines of a hoax. Guy I forgot but what is the time on those trail cameras for each shot when It detaches movement I thought it was some were around 3 to 5 secs?

ReplyDelete1000 lbs trees being uprooted, turned upside down and driven into the ground as a sign of a Bigfoot marking their territory? I saw this on a show recently. Is this kind of behavior a normal occurrence or is this claim isolated to the one spot in Alaska?

DeleteTo answer your question, while we believe there is nothing off the table for discussion about Bigfoot, we also don't associate every strange phenomena to Bigfoot. Like in journalism, we would like to see another source that would indicated Bigfoot was uprooting trees. In other words, in order to associate the uprooting to Bigfoot, we would like to know the exact location and check if there had been recent sightings, tracks etc...

that particular claim comes around the 8:20 mark of the video. Check it out. Definitely intriguing!! what are your thoughts on the discoveries claimed in C. Thomas Biscardi's documentary Bigfoot Lives? He has people who claim they have physical evidence and according to the videos there should be some answers, but there's not. Big surprise! Extreme Expeditions obviously is not a reputable organization are they. They broke one of the most important rules of camping, DON'T LEAVE FOOD OR GARBAGE UNATTENDED.

If they are legiti mate then this is simply a camper in a blanket, which it certainly looks like, because no reputable expedition group would leave their camp this messy.
Ok Guy, 1st off, thanks for maintaining this site. I've just located it today and thoroughly enjoy researching the possibility of the creature known as Bigfoot. Most recently, I've been intrigued by the story of Justin Smeja. That being said, this video concerns me in the fact that there's no other footage of this creature. It's in the center of the frame, yet there's no video of it coming into the campsite, or leaving. If the people that got the footage are experienced BF's, they had to know that there would be serious questions regarding this video. It's back is turned to us, it's hunched down so nobody can take actual measurements, etc. What's your opinion of these researchers?

Thanks for the kind words Uncle Pauly. I don't know Adam Davies that well, and I know Lori even less. What I can tell you is Adam Davies is highly regarded in the crypto-community and regarded as a trustworthy person. He has done a lot of great work on the Orang-Pendek, the Indonesian Bigfoot.
DeleteYour concerns about the video are not unique, some have suggested it is a guy in a sleeping bag. There is not much value in the video, except that it marks a location where there is potential activity. It's a pin on the map, but otherwise there isn't enough information in the video to make much of a determination.

Assuming they were using black and white photography with white light, it looks like a possible human wrapped in a lightly colored blanket. The hand just does not seem to be very white, to make it out as clearly a white caucasian human. Of course the shadows may be doing that. Since there appears to be a sharp line between the sleeve and the hand, it would most likely be a human wearing a dark, tight fitting undergarment beneath the blanket. This video makes all the difference for helping bring clarification to the still shot that is seen elsewhere.

ReplyDeleteI saw breath as a face turned. no hand or sleeve. I saw a leg move. I saw something with thick hair, kneeling. I saw a 3[?] foot tall picnic table. that makes the ''bigfoot'' quite large.
if bigfoots kneel when stalking or hiding, that would explain them becoming invisible in the line of sight, they simply don't move, as with many animals, and then cannot be seen. 'all of the sudden it was there'' could be explaind by them rising from a kneeling position.
Whatever the picture is...I'm just wondering why Adam is calling it an animal? What defines them as an animal? I believe the native American tribes who define them as another tribe are more correct. What exactly sets them apart from human except they are hair covered? Maybe because their arms are longer, this could be because they have evolved to live in the wild. I've seen hair covered humans, it's not that rare.
