The comments to the articles below do not seem to have much sympathy for the man, there is even talk of submitting him for the Darwin Awards. The Darwin Awards salute the improvement of the human genome by honoring those who accidentally remove themselves from it. Unfortunately according to the comments, as well, Randy Lee Tenley is survived by a ten year old son.

KALISPELL- A man wearing a Sasquatch suit died after being struck by two cars Sunday evening on U.S. Highway 93 south of Kalispell.
The Flathead County Coroner has identified the victim as Randy Lee Tenley, 44, of Kalispell.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jim Schneider says friends of the victim said Tenley was wearing a military-style camouflage ghillie suit in hopes of creating a Bigfoot hoax.
Schneider said Tenley was first hit by a 15-year-old Somers girl driving in the right southbound lane who said she couldn't get out of the way. Tenley was then struck by again by another Somers teen's car as his body lay on the road.
"It's still a crash involving vehicles and a pedestrian. So we're still doing the same investigation, but once we started speaking to parties, then someone involved in it, trying to ascertain exactly what brought that gentleman out to Highway 93 ... I would not guess that would motivate anybody to be out on Highway 93," Scheider said.
Schneider said police are waiting to get toxicology reports to see if Tenley had been drinking.

A man dressed as Bigfoot was killed after being struck by two different cars on Sunday evening on Highway 93 south of Kalispell.
The Flathead County Coroner has identified the victim as Randy Lee Tenley of Kalispell, 44 years old.
According to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jim Schneider, Tenley was wearing a military-style Ghillie suit and was trying to provoke a "bigfoot sighting" in Kalispell.
Schneider says the information was obtained after interviewing friends who were nearby.
Schneider told us that Tenley was first struck by a vehicle driven by a 15 year old Somers girl in the right southbound lane who couldn't get out of the way fast enough to avoid striking him.
Tenley was then struck by a vehicle driven by a 17 year old Somers girl as his body lay on the highway.
Schneider said, "The mechanics of the crash, everything of that nature, you know that stuff doesn't change. It's still a crash involving vehicles and a pedestrian. So we're still doing the same investigation, but once we started speaking to parties, then someone involved in it, trying to ascertain exactly what brought that gentleman out to Highway 93...I would not guess that would motivate anybody to be out on highway 93."
Schneider says that they are awaiting toxicology results to determine if alcohol may have been a factor in Tenley's behavior.

This is tragic. For everyone involved. Was it a bad decision for Schneider to be walking the road trying to perpetuate a hoax? Well, of course. I don't know about you, but certainly I've made stupid decisions in my life, done things that,in retrospect I was lucky to walk away from. The man is dead and that's tragic. And then of course the poor folks who hit him. They made no bad decision, were just driving along a road, minding their own business when their lives changed forever.
ReplyDeleteI think the guy in the suit made a very bad decision, I feel bad for the two young girls who hit the guy in the suit. Think about how there going to feel for the rest of there lives. Knowing what they did and not being there fault. Can you say lawsuit cause thats what I would be thinking. Bad dreams and messed up feelings for the rest of there lives. Sorry to the family who lost a father grandfather uncle husband cause thats terrible and really stinks I wish that on no one. My prayers go out to all parties involved in the incident.
ReplyDeleteWhen i started to read this article it gave the impression of the guy being beat up by 2 teenagers, then i read on and found out he was knocked over.
ReplyDeleteThis at lease proves that bigfoot is not real, there have been so many accounts of people seeing Bigfoot running across roads right in front of them, yet nobody has ever actually ran one over, humans, deer and other animals get knocked over all the time.
People like Bobo from Bigfoot hunter should be ashamed of themselves for keeping this myth going and contributing to this poor mans death.
They know Bigfoot is not real, there are not even fossil records of a large primate ever living where these creatures are reported to be found, there is no evidence, no bones, no body, just dodgy intentionally blurry or out of focus video...You might just as well go and try hunt down a unicorn or a minotaur...or some other mythical creature.

Wow. For a 'non believer', you sure put a lot of effort into that little soap box preaching. If we go to the unicorn or the minotaur pages, will we see you taking the time to put up such a long opinion over there pages as well? Do you mean 'Finding Bigfoot', as in the show with Bobo? Cause I can't imagine someone making this kind of investment of time to only get the name of the show wrong. I guess those are just small details, right? Do wolverines exist? Because there are virtually no pictures of them in the wild, outside some blurry ones. And that DNA that they have found, thats not proof at all! Couldn't be! I agree with you on the show, cause it does suck. Horribly. But Bobo, who says he has seen them more than once, is one hell of a nice guy with a heart of gold. Can you fault a guy for doing what he loves? And getting paid for it? Would you waste 30 years of your life chasing something if you lied about seeing it? And tell those other thousands of people who actually have 'seen' them that they are all delusional. Please email Jane Goodall and inform her that she is a blithering idiot for believing that they exist. Yep, everyone knows how gullible that chick is! I feel for Bobo. Now he is being blamed for a guys death. Wow. Are you going to blame Bush while your at it? Seems to be a popular guy to blame these days.
