Minneapolis, Minnesota (PRWEB) November 16, 2012

Chinese New Year will celebrate 2013 as the “Year of the Snake” while Facebook/FindBigfoot (FBFB), the social network with 30,000+ Bigfoot enthusiasts, declares 2013 “The Year of Bigfoot.”

The number of Bigfoot sightings in the second half of 2012 has created quite a buzz among FBFB Fans, including a new Bigfoot video that entered the FBFB’s "Top 50 Bigfoot Videos" list at #2 behind the famous Patterson/Gimlin footage.

“The Camper” video was recorded in September 2012 using a mobile phone and shows a Bigfoot near a tree eating food from the campsite. “What’s so amazing about this new video is how close the Bigfoot is to the camper’s tent,” said Jack Barnes, Chief Video Analyst for FBFB. “A Bigfoot usually maintains maximum distance from humans, but this one couldn’t have been more than 25 feet away.”

The team at FBFB is encouraged by the number of new videos submitted to their social network. They’re confident that somebody will eventually capture indisputable proof of a Bigfoot on video. “With all the mobile phones and video out there, we’ve seen a spike in the quantity and quality of Bigfoot submissions,” Barnes said. “We want to celebrate 2013 as ‘The Year of Bigfoot’ to remind people that each video submitted helps our community to learn more about these amazing creatures.” Soon FBFB will announce its nominees for "Bigfoot Researcher of the Year".

The FBFB community is a free social network for Bigfoot researchers and enthusiasts. The “Top 50 Bigfoot Videos” list is available for free viewing. Bigfoot enthusiast can also download FBFB’s book, "You Are Sasquatch" from Amazon.com.

  1. Spoken like the marketing firm that they are. Hacks. These guys are what is wrong with the community. No common sense, they see what they want, every photo is real, every video has "glistening fur" and "tree peeks"…. Experts of the unknown. If you listen to one of their first interviews with Steve Kulls before they got any notice they spell out their "Three part business plan". The true scientific method does not include any kind of business plan nor does it include a bad case of paradoilia These guys are on par with Biscardi.

    1. Well spoken. Unfortunately, it often seems like "naive credulity" must be the opposite of "skepticism" in the Bigfooting dictionary.

  2. The camper photo is just a hoax and it’s been proven I wish these guys would just shut up they give the real honest researchers a bad name

  3. It hasn't been proven at all that the camper vid is a hoax, many people who know a lot more than most about BF are all convinced its the real deal. It has been proven that some people who are less than credible were involved in the video but even hoaxers can get lucky

  4. FBFB is a marketing firm, although they obviously know how to build an online community. If using a press release (news) is marketing, remember Bigfoot blogs like this all over the web are republishing the press release -- so does that make those bloggers marketing firms too?
