Literally the Best Taxidermist in the World Will Defend His Championship with Sasquatch

Ken Walker working on sasquatch face
"I've spent the last three years following World Champion taxidermist Ken Walker as he builds a life-sized Bigfoot, based on frames from the iconic 1967 Patterson-Gimlin movie." --Director of BigFur

BIG FUR THE DOCUMENTARY HAS ALMOST REACHED IT'S GOAL! ONLY 24 HOURS LEFT

Ken Walker is real deal. He's an award-winning world champion taxidermist that specializes in recreating rare and extinct animals. His models have fooled naturalist all over the world. He's wants to use his expertise to build a sasquatch and we want to see the film that documents the process. How?

Ken Walker’s taxidermy is found in the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History, and has been featured in National Geographic Magazine. Ken specializes in re-creating extinct and endangered species out of other animals’ hides. His saber-toothed tiger and Irish elk have given us a close-up look at these fabled species. His giant panda was so realistic that it fooled the panda keepers from the Smithsonian's National Zoo.

Bigfoot Documentary by the Best Bigfoot Field Reporter™

Our friend Sharon Lee showing her love for Bigfoot
Sharon Lee runs The Bigfoot Field Reporter. Sharon's site has the distinction of her actually traveling to many of the events she covers. Something us armchair bloggers respect and appreciate (as we should). We have vicariously been to so many Bigfoot happenings through her site. She wants to take what she does best a step further, she wants to do a single trip around the country and document it. We want to help her and hope you do too. You can pledge as little as $5 (every bit counts) to help fund this well-planned documentary. To pledge you can go to the Kickstarter page, Squatching U.S.A.

Below is Sharon's passionate reason for the journey:
I have worked at Cleveland State University 12 years for the benefit of having my 3 love of my life daughters attend for free.  I have lived my entire life for them and now that they are grown, I want to live my life for me!
On July 1st I am going to load up my Jeep with camping gear and clothes, my laptop and cell phone and I am going to begin a cross country journey to research Bigfoot, but mostly to document me meeting all of the Bigfoot enthusiasts I have met through Facebook.
This is a map of the 6,900 mile trip, it starts at Cross Fork, PA and ends in Jefferson, TX. Hitting at least 10 cities in between. To pledge you can go to the Kickstarter page, Squatching U.S.A.

I don't know why your still here you should be at the kickstarter pledging for the trip. She only needs $5000 which is a very modest amount, you can pledge as little as $5. Every little bit helps. Bigfoot Lunch Club fans don't let us down, so far we have helped fund two other Kickstarter campaigns, let's get this one funded too! To pledge you can go to the Kickstarter page, Squatching U.S.A.

Footprints: A Monster Murder Mystery

One of our fans alerted us to this great project these guys are trying to get funded through KickStarter

What is Kickstarter?

They’re the largest funding platform for creative projects in the world.

Every month, tens of thousands of amazing people pledge millions of dollars to projects from the worlds of music, film, art, technology, design, food, publishing and other creative fields.

A new form of commerce and patronage. This is not about investment or lending. Project creators keep 100% ownership and control over their work. Instead, they offer products and experiences that are unique to each project.

Great concept right? What is even better is that this project is near and dear to our hearts; its creative writing, art and of course Bigfoot. We've reviewed Bigfoot Comics before. Below is a description of the four issue comic titled Footprints: A Monster Murder Mystery

Footprints is a four issue mini-series by Joey Esposito and Jonathan Moore. We’ve already completed (and printed) the first issue -- which you can read in its entirety here -- but now we need your help to finish the remaining issues as well as the collected trade paperback edition!

Joey is a writer from New England displaced in Los Angeles, California, currently living with his totally awesome girlfriend, his cat, his dog, and a whole bunch of back problems. He's been reading comics since his Dad bought him an Adventures of Superman issue co-starring Gang Buster. Jonathan lives in South Carolina with his wife and two daughters, living on coffee and burning the candle at both ends to do what he loves -- both comics and fine art. Creator-owned comics are becoming harder and harder to support as the big two increase their market share, so make your voice heard by supporting fresh new voices!

So where is your money going? We’ll use our Kickstarter funds to cover the page rates of our artists, and then to market and publish the rest of the series ourselves. The comics industry is a tough place for independent startups, so we’re counting on the unified power of the Internet to help bring Footprints through to completion! Don’t forget, you’re helping to fund three entire issues AND a trade paperback! And with any luck, let our dreams of making stuff up for a living come true.

You can see these guys are close to their goal. So, lets help them in the homestretch and get them to the finish line! You can donate as little as a dollar.
