Scottish Bigfoot is a Hoax Using Pictures From Another Hoax

Declared a Bigfoot in Scotland, this was originally a Hoax in Pennsylvania
Obviously hoaxes are frowned upon, but how this single picture was able to fool the media twice is fascinating and almost unbelievable! We dig deep in this investigative report to prove Bigfoot was not found in Scotland.

On December 29th 2013 a man named Garry Mcteague uploaded a photo to the open Facebook group North Muirton Community Council. Along with the photo he wrote, "My dog that's usually timid starting going mental. I spotted this before 'it' ran off. I was crapping myself...but managed to grab a quick snap on my phone."

Two days later, on the 31st, TheCourier.co.uk ran the story with the photo. In two more days the Huffington Post UK would rerun the same story under the headline, "Bigfoot Found In Scotland? Dog Walker Snaps 'Sinister Figure'"

The irony is Huffington Post already ran a story with the same photo back in October 3rd 2013, under the headline, "TWO Bigfoots? Hiker Shoots Clear Photos Of 'Moving Beasts' In Pennsylvania" See the photos below.

This is the same photo that ran in both stories.

All three photos were taken in Pennsyvania
Huffington Post wrote, "Pennsylvania hiker John Stoneman says he was driving his car through Kinzua State Park when he noticed not one, but two hulking creatures lurking in the woods. He slowed down and took the photographs, which do indeed appear to show at least one giant apelike creature behind some trees.

He told the HNGN, 'I'm a skeptic myself. I'm not a believer, but this was not a bear and you can see fur on it ... It's wider at the shoulders and tapers down whereas a bear is bigger in the middle and stands differently with its paws out -- this was standing like a man, like a Bigfoot.'"

WAIT! It gets better. Three days on October 6th 2013 later Huffington Post reveals the Bigfoot photos are a HOAX! A new article publishes photos of the "Bigfoot" from the same angle but up close revealing it is a tree stump and nothing more. See the photos below.

Stan Gordon and 911 Bigfoot Caller Stick to Opposing Stories

On May 14 Bigfoot Evidence reported of a possible Bigfoot shooting reported over a 911 call:
This is unconfirmed at the moment and we're still trying to figure out what exactly transpired here. According to our source, PBS [Penssylvania Bigfoot Society] is looking into a possible shooting of Bigfoot somewhere in Pennsylvania. "It has been all over the police scanner in the area," our source tells us, but he will not confirm the exact location. SRC: Bigfoot Evidence
Eventually the story unfolded into: An officer responded to the 911 call and found John T. Winesickle, who told him he'd found Bigfoot tracks when out for a walk. The officer accompanied Mr. Winesickle to the tracks, and took pictures of them.

The 911 call was a request to have an officer confirm the tracks and thus confirm Bigfoot. Mr. Winesickles story and Stan Gordon's conclusion are paired in a local Pennsylvania Paper, Daily American,  below.

PAINT TOWNSHIP — John T. Winesickle is still convinced there's a Sasquatch in his neck of the woods.

Summarily dismissed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission, Paint Township police and Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society, Winesickle said he remains certain that there are at least two — plural — Bigfoot roaming the state game lands near his home.

"He's a giant," the Paint Township man said of the male. Though he's never seen the creatures, Winesickle claims to have heard the Mr. make bassy, guttural sounds.

The Mrs., he said, can be heard "cooing" at times: "I think she's pregnant."

Adamant that his findings are sincere and legitimate, the Paint Township resident doesn't present himself a charlatan. He isn't writing any books and has declined offers to buy his original photographs, which depict large, ambiguous footprints in the mud.

Authorities, however, have said the tracks most likely belong to the big black bear commonly known to roam in this area.

Winesickle grabbed international headlines earlier this month after calling the game commission May 14 to report Bigfoot evidence. He was referred to police, and the overheard 911 dispatch fueled several rumors, including the tale that a turkey hunter had shot and killed an alleged Sasquatch near the city of Altoona in Blair County.

The story as told by Winesickle, however, is that these large tracks have been spotted throughout the forested area he has frequented since moving from Bedford County to Paint Township nearly two years ago. The retired septuagenarian said he walks through the woods for hours every day to stay healthy, as he has heart problems and recently suffered a stroke.

He unflinchingly defends his findings as evidence: a true believer.
"(The game commission) doesn't want anything to do with this," he said.

Winesickle's 911 call was not the first time Bigfoot reports were made in Somerset County. According to pabigfootsociety.com archives, another Paint Township incident supposedly occurred in 1980.

The website states that two young men were in the woods less than a mile from Seanor Road when they saw a large dark-colored figure emerge from the opposite tree line 300 yards away. They reported that it had a "fast gate (sic) and . . . long arms which hung below it's (sic) knees." It was allegedly 7-8 feet tall and covered in fur.

A more recent report was made April 18, 2010, near Stoughton Lake in Jennerstown. The website states that two teenage boys were searching for turkeys when a 7- or 8-foot-tall bear-like creature walked by. They allegedly shot at it twice with a .12-gauge shotgun and fled.
According to the Bigfoot society, the teenagers said that the creature had dark reddish-brown hair and that they thought it was probably a bear.

Longtime UFO and paranormal investigator Stan Gordon of Kecksburg said Winesickle's recent Paint Township report is overblown and insubstantial.

"There have been some very legitimate reports," Gordon said. "But this particular case, we're pretty certain, is solved." SRC: Daily American

NEW VIDEOS: Pennsylvania Man Says Bigfoot Vandalized His Winnebago

Pennsylvania Man Says Bigfoot Vandalized His Winnebago
“It wasn’t a person. I didn’t see any clothes or coat or anything like that,” -- John Reed, Winnebago owwner

On Friday October 19,2012 PennLive.com published an article about a Pennsylvania man who claimed his Winnebago was vandalized by Bigfoot. Embedded directly below is the first video, further down the post is the new video from ABC news.

In the original article (below) the local police, lawyers and the game commission all consider how they would arrest, prosecute Bigfoot and whose jurisdiction Bigfoot is in. Below are partial clips from the original story :

If state police catch the vandal who threw rocks at John Reed’s motor home in Lykens earlier this month, the perpetrator could face criminal mischief charges.

Not big news. But state police troopers better have strong handcuffs if they make the arrest.

“It wasn’t a person. I didn’t see any clothes or coat or anything like that,”

John Reed 39, of Lykens, says a Bigfoot type of creature is responsible for damage to his Winnebago, located on state game lands in Jefferson Twp., upper Dauphin County. Reed is a member of Lykens Valley Sasquatch Hunters. 10/19/2012 DAN GLEITER, The Patriot-News

The accused is Bigfoot, according to the complaint that state police issued Friday morning. The cops description lists the suspect as very large, brown in color and walks somewhat hunched over.

According to Reed, who filed the complaint, a Bigfoot type of creature is responsible for smashing the windows and taillights out of his 1973 Dodge Winnebago.

“It wasn’t a person. I didn’t see any clothes or coat or anything like that,” said the 39-year-old Reed, who is a member of Lykens Valley Sasquatch Hunters. “I don’t think it was a bear, it didn’t move like a bear.”

The incident took place just after midnight along a dirt road off White Oak Road in state game lands in Jackson Twp.

State police at Lykens issued a press release later Friday morning saying they were investigating it as a criminal mischief complaint. When contacted, the trooper said the investigation is not being actively pursued, pending further evidence.

Nor, he said, is Bigfoot likely to menace any area residents — this is the first complaint the state police have received.

But should the Sasquatch in question be apprehended, Dauphin County District Attorney Edward M. Marsico Jr. said his office would prosecute the Sasquatch.

“We have been searching for him for years,” Marsico said with a laugh. “We would be glad to prosecute, assuming the elusive thing is captured.”

Skip a few paragraphs and then we get to the Jurisdiction question:
Even if Bigfoot did exist, it may not fall under the commission’s jurisdiction anyway, he said.     “I think the question is whether or not the Game Commission would have jurisdiction on a hominid mammal,” he said, adding there is always a debate over jurisdiction when reports are received of whales or dolphins swimming up the Delaware River in Philadelphia. Even though they are mammals, as ocean dwellers they may fall under the auspices of the Fish and Boat Commission.     “Being a hominid mammal, this may be something under the Department of Health ... or it is a matter for the state police” Feaser said.

ABC News picked it up with this to report with accompanying video:
A Pennsylvania man has his eye on a large, furry and elusive suspect who he accused of vandalizing his 1973 Dodge Winnebago.
John Reed, a self-described Bigfoot tracker since the age of 10, said he was camping with his girlfriend when he saw the creature walk past his motor home window.  Reed said the Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, reportedly threw rocks at his mobile home’s outside light to escape discovery.

Reed, who is the founder of the Lykens Valley Sasquatch Hunters, and his girlfriend, jumped into their truck and gave chase, making special ‘Bigfoot calls’ to locate the creature.

“As soon as I did it, something stood up on her side of the truck,” he said.  ”She seen the eyes glaring in the light of the truck, stood up and walked this way into the woods.”

This alleged sighting is the third time Reed said he has come into contact with the creature.

“Do I believe in Bigfoot? Yes I do,” he said. “Have I had sightings of what I believe to be Big Foot? Yes.”
While police believe the damage may have been caused by vandals, for Reed it was a warning from Sasquatch to get off his territory.

Stan Gordon Interviews Bigfoot Witness

Roger Marsh, paranormal news examiner, writes about a new Bigfoot case in Pennsylvania investigated by Stan Gordon. Stan Gordon has his fingers in a lot of unexplained phenomena including; UFO, Bigfoot, Thunderbirds, Black Panthers and other unexplained sightings within the Keystone State.

Below is just the excerpt that was written by Stan you can go to the Examiner to read Roger Marsh's whole take.

Is it a Bigfoot the witness saw? The story kinda loses us when it comes to the part that goes "The witness also saw what appeared to be wings on its back which were tucked into its body, with the wing tips extending toward the side of its head".

The witness did add the caveat, "appeared". read the article and judge for your self.

Roger Marsh
Paranormal News Examiner
A new Bigfoot case was made available March 29, 2011, after paranormal investigator and author Stan Gordon interviewed a witness from an incident that occurred in Butler County, Pennsylvania, March 18, 2011, between Chicora and East Brady...

...From researcher Stan Gordon - in his own words. On March 21, 2011, I was contacted by a witness who reported having an encounter with a very strange creature during the early morning hours of March 18, 2011. The incident occurred on a rural road in Butler County between Chicora and East Brady. The witness, a businessman passing through the area, stated that “this was the freakiest thing I ever saw, and it made the hair stand up on the back of my neck.”

The man told me that he was driving down the road when from about a qurter-mile away, he observed something on the right side in a grassy area. His first thought was that it was a deer. The driver stepped on the gas to move closer to get a better view. From about 50 yards away, he observed something that appeared to be hunched down, and then stood up. The driver then observed a very tall muscular creature.

At this point, the driver had his high beams on and watched as the creature walked in front of a yellow reflective road sign, then crossed the two lane road in three long steps and continued into a wooded area. What he saw was a humanoid figure that stood at least 8 feet tall that appeared to have smooth leather-like skin that was of either a darker tan or light brown color.

The creature never looked at the witness, and was only observed from its side. The head appeared to be flat in the front section, and then rounded out. “At the top back of skull, it was like one of those aerodynamic helmets. The top was not quite a point, but looked like a ridge on top of the head.” The face was flat, and the eyes were not clearly defined, but the man thought that they might have been pointed in the corner. The ear that was observed on the left side was long and flat, and came up and back and was pointed backwards like a flap.

The arms were muscular and a little longer than that of a human. The hands looked more like a claw, but the number of fingers was unclear. One physical trait that stood out was the extremely muscular legs. The witness stated that it was hard to explain, but the legs did not move like that of a human, and “looked like they bent backwards.” The witness also saw what appeared to be wings on its back which were tucked into its body, with the wing tips extending toward the side of its head.

No unusual sounds or smells were noticed during the observation which was estimated to have been about 7-8 seconds. As the motorist approached the location where the creature entered the woods, it could no longer be seen. The next day the witness decided to drive back to the location of the encounter to look for any evidence. The ground conditions were not suitable for tracks, and nothing was found. The witness did, however, measure the road sign that the creature had walked in front of. The sign was just over 8 feet high, and the head of the creature was estimated to have reached about 4 inches above the sign.

Loren Coleman: Orang Pendek May be Documented in Foreseeable Future

There are so many Cryptozoological pearls of wisdom that are never harvested by the mainstream media. We can't blame them, most people, us included, ask the same basic questions when first bitten by the cryptozoological bug. However, and unfortunately, the consequence of the same fundamental question being asked over and over again is the same answer being told over and over again.

Loren Coleman seems to transcend this hurdle. He knows better than us, that he gets the same questions over and over, and yet his answers are always novel and topical to current crypto happenings. Due to his thoughtfulness, he is able to provide much more than a canned answer--every time.

Today's Pennlive.com's article is a perfect case-in-point. While the article is about the rash recent sightings in Pennsylvania, Loren Coleman seems to squeeze in some gems. Coleman's response includes an opinion about vocalizations, news about the Orang Pendak, and alternate theories to the Pennsylvania sightings.

...Loren Coleman, one of the world's most published cryptozoologists (researchers in the study of hidden species), said, "I'm very cautious of sound sightings." He noted that even the white-tailed deer is capable of producing vocalizations that most people do not recognize.

However, he believes there is something real causing some of the bigfoot reports. In the past month, he said, he's heard of at least 10 legitimate reports, in the northwestern U.S., not in Pennsylvania.

And, Coleman expects a bigfoot-type hominid - the orang pendek - to be documented in Indonesia in the foreseeable future by a well-funded, scientific team that has been searching for the species more than 20 years.

In Pennsylvania, he believes it's more likely that some unknown species of "mystery cat" will be documented, and even more likely that some smaller cryptid (hidden species) will be found...
